One thing I expected from college was stress; I was not disappointed. Homework, labs, essays, quizes, exams, and lectures are just a few of the every day componets of my college week. Add extracurricular activities, a social life, work, clubs, leadership obligations, and volunteering you have about two hours to pretend you can sleep, but really you should be studying for that exam worth 20% of your final grade. This is college.
There is also close friends, professors that take the time to get to know you as a person, and a close circle of people with simialar aspirations. Like many things there are positives and negatives in everything we do in life; college is no different. With stress and exams comes friends and study groups. We stick together and encourage each other to keep fighting for that A or pushing a friend to get a better grade in a class so they can transfer to their dream school.
The good, bad, and ugly are plentiful on any campus but it is the good times that allow us to overcome the bad ones. With many more years of college to come I am always going to remember my first two at Richard Bland.
